heater works fine except

I got lots of heat except it comes out of the dash vents. not the floor or defrost. i removed the lower duct and could see the mixing door working properly but still blows through dash. is there another door in the heater box that could be stuck ? any idea's ?? thanks Ken

The only thing I can think of is that, only models with AC came with dash vents, that it has to do with either the AC being on (stuck or otherwise) so maybe it is another vent deflector close to where the heater core/ ac (evap or condensor can't remember which it is...)

Just guessing as I don't have ac in either of my trucks.

Use the search function [top of page in blue bar] and type in: HVAC directional issues. On 11/05/09, fellow forum member, gotjeepzj, had a similar problem.
