Well, it has been a while since the needle of my speedometer started jumping a little (it shows the current speed at moments, but it keeps jumping up and down). So i got myself a new Speed Sensor and replaced it (the one that goes over the rear transmision). No changes, the needle keeps doing the same... Any ideas?.
There aren't Broncos with cruise control in Venezuela. How can i tell the ABS is working allright?, the truck seems to brake fairly well, but that's as far as i get in my knowledge of the ABS. What's the PSOM? (i'll do a search, but if you can explain it, it will be of help also).
Btw, thanks for the help!.
On Edit: Now i know what a PSOM is, also found this very interesting thread: https://www.ford-trucks.com/forums/1...ed-sensor.html
i'll search for that PSOM now, and try my old VSS back, if they work ok i'll leave them like that and save the new one for future replacement.
Maybe the exitor ring could be in bad shape... I think i'll check that first, as o tooth of my ring in the transmision broke last year.
Ok, you would know it if the ABS was screwing up... wheels locking up arbitrarily lousy brake pressure etc. The PSOM is the Programmable Speedometer/Odometer Module. It is the entire speedometer/odometer assembly. The unit is comprised of the gauge and LCD odometer. It can be replaced, and reprogrammed for changes in axle gearing and tire size.
