I have noticed in the last 2,000 miles that I have a slight shudder when I accelerate with the wheels turned. Once the wheels are straight the shudder goes away and I never feel it when accelerating with the wheels straight. I have 101,000 miles on the truck and have never had any problems with the front end.

I have rotated the tires, inspected the front hubs and noticed nothing out of the ordinary. I am thinking if it were a bearing going bad I would have seen some grease somewhere, but the front hubs are both clean.

Any thoughts?

 

Maybe ball joints. If yours made it to 101k miles, you did pretty good.

 

Had the oil changed in the rear end. . . added bottle of anti friction and the problem is solved.

 

Might be a stuppid question, if its 4wd, are the hubs locked? or did someone lock them without you knowledge.
