Anyone have any opinions/experience with who makes the best weatherstripping for doors? Thanks...

I haven't reached that point in my rebuild yet. But have seen many threads on that very subject. Do a search for weather stripping and I am sure you will find all the answers you need to make the correct choice. Lakota

I can tell you that LMC does not and when I researched mine, after buying the crappy ones, I found that everybody was saying the Dennis Carpenter ones are the best. He actually makes them, has the molds and they fit the way they are supposed to. Good luck.

Bobby,
Thanks for the link...informative stuff and an entertaining discussion of the search function as well. Thouhgt I'd share an idea here, it's something that we use at work when we want something to be held in place until the glue dries: 2-way tape--you can get this stuff very thin and it really sticks well. Place some of it between spots or lines of whatever adhesive you're using. It might be helpful in getting the weatherstripping fit right as you would be able to stick one spot and then move on to the next without the previous spot moving around on you (I'd do a mock up first). Polyuerethane hot glue also works wonders for keeping things in place until the permanent adhesive has time to set up. By using one of these methods to keep things where you want them, you keep from making a major mess...just my 2 cents...

When I purchased my truck it had new rubber and both door stuck out like flaps on a airplane plus 2 broken side windows. The PO told me his wife was determined to get the door shut tight so she slammed them with enough force to brake both windows on the same day . I did some bodywork here and there then purchased the hollow weatherstrip from Mid-Fifty. the doors are now adjustable and shut as new.
