Hey 80f3504x4, I remember responding to that thread. Chrome “Powered by Ford” valve covers came stock on 390GT’s and 428CJ’s from ’66 through ’69. As far as rail type rockers, this refers to the smallblock rocker arms that have two raised ridges on each side that straddle the valve stem. All production FE’s use shaft mounted rocker arms. Try to get the casting number of the block, which is hidden by the starter, and the head number, which is between the spark plugs. The intake manifold number would be interesting too.

390GTs came with the chrome powered by ford valve covers...
they were 330 hp with a 4bbl..they ran a little more compression and stronger connecting rods..
427 tourque by the way.
but the basic difference from the outside is the cross bolt pattern to fit them in tight spots..
look on the heads they'll have 4 bolt holes around each exaust port...that'll tell you if its a gt
