1.7 RR for E7 Heads

I am not sure on what kind of mount the E7's are. Would these be the right ones for a 1996 F250 with 351w?

Summit Racing SUM-G6942B - Summit Racing® Aluminum Roller Rocker Arms - Overview - SummitRacing.com

If not, are they stud mount or shaft? 3/8 or 7/16?

Thanks in advance.

Also, would there be a problem using shorty headers from a 94 F250 with an auto in this 96 with a manuel trans? Are the exhausts different?

You just built one of these motors.. you telling me you don't remember what type rockers it had on it?

Pedistal mount.. all SBF's after about 1978 take pedistal mount rockers like these.

Could be a slight difference in the exhaust depending on the smog system installed.. don't ask me why but Ford used a whole bunch of different designs on the smog system over the years so who knows. The heads are all the same so the headers will bolt up to the motor fine, it's just what happens at the other end you can't predict.

I built one with GT40 style heads. I just didnt know if internally the E7s were the same mounting style.

All im doing to this motor is the rockers for more lift from the stock cam and headers. Nothing too aggressive for this as it is going to be my new DD and i want the best mileage out of her as i can because my truck i just built runs at 3300 RPMs at 70mph and gets an average of 7mpg.

The rockers your suggesting have an ending year of '95. Are these the correct ones for my application? Everytime i search for the '96, all i get is stud mounted rocker arms. Whats the difference and will I run into any problems using these that you suggested??

There is no difference in rockers arms for any 5.0 or 5.8 motor built after 1978, that applies to everything right up until the series was finally discontinued in 2000(last year for the Explorer 5.0).

i've heard that the stock pedestal mounts are good till around .550 lift, and then you need to start thinking of upgrading bolt size or going with stud mounted rockers. I suspect mustang guys run into this problem more than truck folks who plan on spinning under 5500rpm.

Okay cool so heres what i got:

1996 F250 with 351w
going with Gt40 heads hopefully with 1.7 RR
Pacesetter LT's with CBE 3" exhaust
4.10 gears and ZF 5spd

What am i looking at power wise with this combo? im leaving the stock cam in and hoping the RR will give me what a cam upgrade would have done for the SD truck.

That sounds like decent power for my new DD. Does the 3'' exhaust sound like a good thing for this motor or should i keep it down to 2.5? With the little upgrades, i think it will be a decent combo

These 1.7 Rockers are from Proform parts off of summit for $176. Does anyone think i will have a problem with these or should i spend the extra 100 for the ford racing rockers?
