funny thing is tho, it hasnt done it since and i continue to run past 4000 alot

Not much right now, the reason im being so hard on this motor is to see what breaks and see what i need to upgrade so i can run this rpm and nothing happen, so far it looks like valve train needs some work, but the bottom end seems solid, only things i have done is Put brandnew injectors a rebuilt ip ram air intake 3 inch exhuast turned the pump up put a high rpm spring in it and stick my righ foot into it

You need 7.3 style rockers for sure.
Sad thing, the 86 is a good block to rebuild.
If you drop a valve head or bust a rocker, the block will probably crack and just be so much scrap metal.
