Yeah, Julie's right. One of the biggest issues is that the threads and posts on the forum are kept "live" on the Internet - they are searched by Google and other search engines regardless of how old they are. The problem tends to come up when you start getting calls or messages in 2011 for something you listed on a forum back in 2006. Trust me, people DON'T look at the dates of the posts - just what's offered for sale or what somebody is looking to buy.
The classified section is "purged" so that your old offerings or want ads disappear from the search engines after you sell or buy, or after a preset short time. That's one of the biggest reasons why the moderators suggest you keep any "for sale" or "want to buy" things there.
Having been a "they" for this forum, I know first hand that for sale or want ads posted here bring up other problems as well.

New to the forum. Rebuilding 55 f100. Street rod. Put in a mustang Ii front end. Put in 302 v8. 99% complete. Just curious if anyone has had issues with a new rack and pinion from Hedits? Mine leaked from the get go. Drive less than 20 miles. Kind of weird. Also I would like to sell the original straight six 3 speed engine. Love in southern California. I can help load on a flat bed or on a pick up. Let me know if interested.

Still need to finish interior. My builder thinks I should keep the pitina of the exterior paint. Says he can wet sand and clear coat for around $1100. Does anyone have any input on the exterior?
