The PO replaced the transfer case before I bought the truck from him, but he neglected to replace the linkage. the Haynes manual does a poor job of not putting pictures in showing what this linkage looks like, as I could fab it up if I had pics.
Can someone post pics of the linkage, please.
Better yet...anyone have the linkage that they don't need? I'm willing to purchase it also, if the price isn't too high.
This picture shows the linkage from a BW1345 transfer case to a Mazda M5r2 transmission.
I don't know if the linkage to a ZF 5 speed is the same.
Below picture shows the transfer case shifter bracket.
The red arrow points to a u shape cut out in the bracket where the end of the rubber transfer
case vent hose is held in place.
This picture below shows the bracket that bolts to the transmission. Note the plate has a cut out pattern in it that a nub in the shifter follows. Also note the two red arrows show the two bolts that hold the bracket to the transmission.
This picture shows the two bolt holes in the transmission that the bracket bolts to.
Last picture shows an over all view of the linkage.

not sure about the M5OD for sure but i know the Zf 5-speed the housing and tail shaft need to be changed for sure...i think the M5OD requires this too...youd be better off looking for a ZF 5-speed thats already 4x4 much better tranny
well my biggest issue is that i have pretty much ran outta money and patience on this truck is it that my main shaft is to long in my trans if so cant it theoritacally be ground down and tcase put it to get me buy for the mean time till funds permit otherwise? my spelling is horrible lol
I found the linkage cor the transfer case...it was under the seat!
Now...One of the plastic bushings (clips the linkage to the little pins) is pretty tore up. Where can I get my hands on another one without climbing under one in a pick n pull??
It is just a piece of rubber, take a piece about the same thickness, sut a ring around it so it will stay in place on the linkage, and then drill it out to match the other.
Or it is very easy to get one out of the bone-yard, they just Pop on and off. Make sure you grease it a little and clip it on all the way.

If I hadn't been laid off, I would have grabbed a piece at work and spun the needed piece on the lathe. My lathe and mill are in a garage in Ohio, and I'm stuck here n Utah.
Perhaps I'll take measurements and have my brother go to my garage and spin them up for me.
I didn't know if it's a part that I could find in a parts house...
