I finally got around to rotating my tires today. I'm happy to report that with 80k miles, the wheel bearings and steering components are still tight even with the 35" tires it's run for the last 50-60k miles. Now, I need to check out why my CB is showing high SWRs and get around to washing/waxing it.
Me neither, I've been putting it off because I didn't have the $1100 for new bearings and ball joints (I have the lovely 4wheel abs with the most expensive bearing set). I'm really happy I don't have to put money in that this year, next will hopefully be better.
This might seem like a silly question, how are you jacking up the truck to rotate the tires?
Are you putting the whole thing on jack stands? I need to do this but, want to be safe as well.
Thanks.
I just rotated back to front. Jack up the rear, put stands under it, clean wheel up, jack up front, swap the front tire for the rear and snug the nuts down. Then put the rear on. For the couple of minutes the front is only supported by the jack, it's relatively safe enough to skip the jack stand.

When it gets this cold out, I don't mess around with washing or waxing it. I hit the car wash and let it do all the work. It looks just as good and the $15 is worth it to keep my hands, feet, and hoses from freezing
I wish I had a good floor jack, but it's hard to find them locally that can handle the weight of these trucks. The factory Bottle jack does a better job than the 2.5 ton chinese floor jacks.
