I'm in the same boat.Besides here, I googled "hpop 6.0 diesel" and found some other helpful hints. If mine is shot, I plan on doing it myself, but I do plan on doing a low pressure oil flow check and ICP test. All of that can be found here in the tech files. If your good with wrenches and prepare yourself with a pile of information- go for it. They say the dealer wants $2400, that, can buy alot of parts-egr delete, oil cooler, coolant filter and you can do all of that, while it's apart. The best, helpful guys are on this site to always help in a pinch. GOOD LUCK

YAFORD, first welcome to FTE! Second, it might be a good idea to refrain from " texting" your posts. Punctuation, spelling and proper grammar go a long way with who might choose to reply to your question and who might not try and help. Not to sound high and mighty but if someone asks a question and I have to read it more than once to understand, I might not be inclined to respond. Again, I don't want to sound like a jerk, just a suggestion. http://dan.prxy.org/Truck/6L_bible_h.../Page_040.html Heres where the HPOP is, I don't know your abilities, so I can't say whether you could or could not do the job. Best of luck.

THE EARLIE MODLES ARE KIND OF A PAIN TO DO BECAUSE THE INTAKE HAS TO COME OFF.YOU WILL HAVE EITHER A BLOWN OUT SEAL IN THE HPOP OR THE IPR IS MESSED UP.YOU COULD ALSO HAVE A ICP SENSOR THAT IS GOING OUT NOT SENDING THE ACTUAL PRESSURE TO THE PCM NOT ALLOWING IT TO START.YOU NEED TO HOOK UP A SCANNER THAT CAN SHOW WHAT THE SENSORS AND ACTUATORS ARE DOING.PULL UP THE ICP DESIRED AND ACTUAL PIDS.THE TRUCK WONT START TILL THE COMPUTER SEES 500 PSI MIN.
