body panels

Does anyone know if the front fenders, grill, hood and other front clip parts off a early 90's f-150 will fit on my 91 f-350

If your considering a swapping a 93-96 front end to your 1991, yes you can. Fenders, hood, grill, headlight/grill header panel, and the other features transfer right over. You will have to keep your radiator support because it's significant to the diesel, unless the donor truck is a diesel too.

F-150's, 250's, 350's all shared the same body panels (ie fenders) diesel or not it doesn't matter. The radiator support was the only major difference so he will have to use his diesel core support if he gets a f150 donor truck for the swap.
hope this helps the understanding. No one is saying f150's were diesel, atleast not in the states.

LMS Residential,
Welcome to the IDI forum.

May I assume you are a residential builder?

Hi Dave and thanks for the welcome. Yes, we are residential builders although in this economy, we're willing to do just about anything including really upscale lincoln log homes for the kids.

So far, I'm amazed at the speed of replies here and the enthusiasm for these old oil burners. Think I made a good choice.

I meant sinse he was using a F150 he was going to have to use his core support like you mentioned.
I would like one of these motors in a F150, I am seriously considering installing one in my wifes rig when that 5.4 wears out, but not looking forward to raising the cab everytime it needs something done to it.

10-4 that would be pretty cool to hear an IDI under the hood of a 97-up F-150 body style. For sure you would have to beef up the front springs and brakes to deal with the added weight.
