Engine Interchange
I have a 1999 F-250 LD with a knocking 5.4 (123k), and am trying to find a used engine to fit. I found one out of an 2002 E-250 van (74k) and two more out of 2004 expeditions (18k and 25k).Will these engines fit with my intake manifold? Also my truck is an automatic. Thanks in advance.

Yes, I'm pretty sure its terminal.It sounds bad, and there is some black residue on the dipstick.Pulled the cop on #4 cylinder while running and the knock was greatly decreased.I took the truck to a mechanic who said it was either a rod bearing or a broken piston skirt.
