When I was a kid the cartoons on the black and white TV were Popeye, Bugs Bunny, etc. We could also watch Howdy Doody, and the Little Rascals. That was before public television and Sesame Street. If you wanted to change stations you got up and turned the dial, no push buttons or remotes. Some where along in there Captain Kangaroo came along to, but that was later when my younger brothers were more into TV.
