while I was tracing the wires back from the OSS I was able to follow the harness to a point just under the master cylinder (i've attached pics) but I lose the wires there and cant find them anywhere under the dash. should I run the new wires to this point? I also removed the TC wire just to see what would happen and as you suggested it just threw another code for the TC solenoid control circuit. if the TC is operating properly and its just a short in the OSS wiring then why would the truck stall? does the higher pump pressure caused by the failure mode cause the stalling?
That Gray/Red wire is what appears to be a reference voltage for a number of sensors, and if you're not getting multiple codes, then that wire is most-likely NOT your problem. However, it comes from a splice, which could be bad for that leg only.
The other wire, Dark Blue/Yellow, goes directly to Pin #59 of the PCM.
I've attached the PDFs of the engine control wiring diagrams.
sorry for the late response the weather has kept me from doing any work on the truck. I replaced the wire to the oss sensor and still have the same problem/same code I also pulled the connection to the PCM to check for any corrosion or bent prongs and found none.
anyone know of anything else to try? it also started stalling in park I can clear the code and drive with no problem shifts good. then random stall at stop light and po720 code.

Stalling in park eliminates anything in the transmission or torque converter as the cause. It MUST be an engine problem.

Bad guess. And what's the point of guessing, are you trying to see if you can get him to spend money on things that can't be the problem?
I also think its not the TC solenoid as I have even tried electronically disconnecting the torque converter to no avail. I guess it is an engine problem thats just setting the wrong code but ive put all new coils and plugs in the last 1k miles.

here is an update, I finally got a new code to come up for the throttle position sensor I replaced the sensor and it has not stalled yet! however I have noticed that with the new sensor the idle is about 100RPM less (just over 500rpm), like I said truck hasn't stalled yet but it has been on my mind.
You can disconnect the battery and touch the positive lead to the negative post, that will drain any caps or voltage storing devices. Let the computer relearn the new TPS, voltage might be a bit higher or lower than the previous one. Let everything relearn takes quite a bit of driving to get all the monitors to reset and I bet it will run better and shift better as well. Good luck
I did reset the PCM, but today I had the truck stall on me again while backing up a slight hill, I guess the TPS was not the problem just masked it a bit. this seems to happen now only when the truck is cold or more often anyway. and for that reason its making me think fuel injectors? I am going to try to add a few bottles of lucas to see if it makes any difference.
