Fishin76: I've got good news and bad news. The good is; I found a new autolite 1110, but I do not have a box for the 1109. I took them out of the package to store in my small parts bins. I'll send both.
I'll have to get a new 12v source. My charger blew up last night. ( well, not literally, but it don't work no more). Got my Fluke meter out and replaced the batteries so it should be all good now too.
Camera is ready to go.
I've got donation commitals that will allow for 3 more gp purchases.
A room temp ohm reading on all the glow plugs before you start would be interesting.
I have a feeling the self regulating plugs will not work with the new style controller because the ohm readings will be to high.
Ask and though shall receive....
The plugs i tested had a resistance of between .86 and 1.05 ohms, NEW uncooked. On a off-video trial run, I did measure the HOT resistance, just after i removed power. The resistance was over 140 ohm, (hense, self regulating.) and i could watch it fall all the way back down to about 1 ohm, ( and the plug was still warm/hot to the touch).
I agree, I don't think there will ever be a self limilting GP for the new style controlller. If these plugs work out with the old style, it may become the better choice. Here's a stupid question: can you back fit a 86 and older controller and system to the truck with the new style?
P.S. I have a Fluke 87 IV True RMS meter with fresh batteries. It'll measure just about anything.
Well I have a test/diagnostic proceedure for the old style system, three pages both sides.
Same proceedure for the new style system, 1/2 page.
I said it before, since the old system took coolant temp into consideration it was a better system as long as it was working correctly.
But a little corrosion and it went to nightmare system real fast.
The test just had to many "if this is ----do that" statements and it seemed like you were just going in circles forever.
I got a letter from Bill11012, but the GP did not make the trip. Box was still in the envelope, but the GP was missing. Bill said he would sent another.
I am still waiting on others. I think the holiday shipping season is going strong and behind schedule as i have seen Fed ex and UPS in Budget rent-a trucks completing deliveries at 8pm.

I got a new one today, I will mail it tomorrow or the next day.
I will put it in an envelope that keeps the glow plug in this time.
I don't know how I triple posted with a delay like that, did not even see it until today.
I had a friend that was heading to the post office mail it yesterday, He said he put it in a proper package. It should be at your house fairly soon Fishin.
