77-79 models "NEED HELP"
I'm new to the board and contemplating a new project truck. I need some info on the different chassis Ford built in their 77-79 f-250's and 350's. I am planning to put a cummins diesel in this body style of truck, and would like to get a f-350(srw) in the supercab/shortbox configuration. If this isn't possible perhaps a f-250 in the same model. Also curious what the difference is between the f-250 and the f-350 is? Does the f-350 have a heavier frame, bigger brakes, etc? Any info is greatly appreciated.

dsl, I am repling to what I think I know. The biggest difference in 250 & 350 4 wheel trucks would be in under chassis parts. Some 250s & 350s could share the same parts, depends on how the truck was specked.
A F250 should haul the cummings just fine.
