need a steering box .......
does anyone know where I can buy a steering box for a 1969 ford ranger 3/4 ton pickup truck..I have gone to Ford and they just say they cant get one that old...I know that somone or a co has to make them or has rebuilt parts ....if anyone can help ...let me know...thanks...Herschel

(www.***truck.com) has them in their Spring 2000 '48-'72 truck catalog. Close to $200 but the power box is listed at $170 so those prices may be reversed. On the other hand, if you can wait a couple of weeks, I'll have the manual box in my '68 replaced with power and will cut you a significantly better deal than Long. E-mail me if interested. I'm in South Carolina.

hh, them things are pretty bullet proof, and most are not worn out. I'd look in the junk yards for one. They are all the same from 65 to 79.
It would also be a great time to upgrade to power steering. You should be able to do that for less than the quoted price of a new gear.
I have one off a 1/2 ton, send me the numbers off of yours and we'll see if they match.

It would also be a great time to upgrade to power steering. You should be able to do that for less than the quoted price of a new gear.
