Another carb question

Can I buy a new 1bbl carb for my 223cid and bolt it on to my stock manifold? I was told a new one would not work with the stock manifold, but I would like a second opinion. Thanks

When you say "new" carb do you mean retrofitiing something from another application? The reason I ask is that you should be able to get a stock remanufactured carb from your local part supplier which will fit your 223. I doubt you will have any problem with a remanufactured unit. If you have trouble finding something let me know.

Another carb question

StockMan, That's what I was thinking of but I was told I would have to find an old carb and have it rebuilt. There is a Carquest that carries alot of parts from the early 30's to the present I will give them a try. Thanks for the help.
