My truck i drove it down the road and back it was less than 2 mins the temp needle was sitting in the center when i shut it down it was still running fine any ideas ? its a 77 F150 4x4 351M. motor
Curtis, Sounds like it may be time for a good cleaning and THEN refill with 50/50 mix... Replacing the thermostat with a good/new one may be the thing to do as a matter of summer Maintence!!__JOHN__Õ¿ö

Curtis, Here is what I have done... Drain it till the water is clear... Maby 2-3 times if you have to.
Now Use a `cleaner` ... I used Barrs Leak Cleaner (powered type) I left it in for 2 days ITS OK read the label!!
I then drained it twice!! till clear and Refilled it with 50/50 mix...
ALSO look in the cap opening and see if the tubes look clean ...If they have a lot of `Crud` around them its time to pull the rad and have it `Boiled out!!
