1988 F250 Leaking oil - help
I have a 1988 F250 5L V8 that is leaking oil from the crankcase vent hose. Any suggestions on what is causing this? Anyone know where the crankcase breather filter is located? I can't find it in the repair manual.
On another note, I am planning on rebuilding the engine this spring, any suggestions on how to make it more fuel efficient.
Thanks

I replaced the PCV value and it is still leaking oil. The previous owner (an idiot) spoke of some little plastic bolt on piece in the back of the engine that when it goes bad allows oil to leak from the tube. I don't know if this makes sense to anyone, it didnt to me but I thought I would ask.
Anyone rebuilt a 5L V8 and know the cost?
I seen two websites that sell replacement metal parts (LMC and Rayburn). Anyone have good or bad experiences with these two?
