I'm in the heavier band area, 6-12+ with high winds, chance of thundersnows... Not much as of yet, but it looks to be a comin' Gonna go get the snowblower on the tractor. Weather service is saying 3-6 foot high snow drifts... Not quite like the 14' drifts I dealt with in South Dakota, but still enough to be a problem.
We got two inches yesterday, but they're calling for at least 12" tonight.
I got out the snowblower yesterday. Fresh gas, lubed up the auger. I bought a little bottle of stuff supposed to keep the snow from sticking to the auger. As much as I hate snow I'm kind of looking forward to playing with my machines
Lol Jake, driving around the terminal at O'Hare yesterday was a mess. They're saying it'll start again in a couple hours and run straight through til Thursday.
Never snows on the weekend, only when I have to commute.
Up to at least about 6". News is making a big deal out of it, not that bad really to get around. It does serve to get the idiots off the roads so they can plow them. To do it in a lower car, not so good.
so far ive only seen snow 2 times this year... once on friday it started snowing a little bit... oh and it was only a few flakes falling... nothing sticking...
the other time, i was bored, grabbed the ol mutt hopped in the car and drove to the top of north mountain...(really to the east of me... but it is north of town i guess... lol) only an inch or 2 as far up as i got... not very much.. gonna try this weekend on the quads to find some nice deep snow... =)
