Heater core replacement question

I've got a 2001 f250 7.3L
I changed the heater core today. I had a problem. It the 2 tubes for the core differant size quick connects?? One side snapped right on the left but the right side the 5/8" fitting won't snap on. I went and bought a second fitting thought the first was bad. Well didn't fit. Is that other fitting 3/4"?? Figured I'd ask before buy something else

solved

Figured out what the problem was. The heater hose fittings come with an insert ring that's in MM for import heater cores.
