I've finally got around to starting my 2005-2007 facelift. I sold my Ranch Hand to a fellow FTE'er so the facelift so far is a wash. I got the grill and bumper off craigslist and painted them Black with Krylon Fusion and some clear coat. I originally was going to take it to a paint & body shop to have it painted to match but decided to save some money and paint it myself and if it don't turn out I've only wasted 15 bucks. I think it turned out pretty good. The only things left are the Harley Lights, a custom emblem and wireing the fog lights. Hopefully I can recoupe some more money by selling my 03 grill and headlights. Let me know what you think!
I'm liking it!! The two-tone evening tuxedo look!! SWEET!!! Although I do have to wonder what it would look like with just the grille painted dark silver. Once you get the Harley lights in, man oh man is that REALLY gonna set it off!! I don't hardly ever see 05+ Super Duties being parted out, but if I do, I'll see what they want for the hooks.
Brendan, I thought about color matching the grill shadow grey, but decided to go all black. I've recently been thinking about billit inserts, but think I'm going to leave it alone. I'm going to price Ed for the tow hooks maybe look on ebay too.

Ive also been thinking about stripping off all the paint on the emblem I've got with the grill (clears peeling off it) painting it black and sanding off the black on the letters so they are chrome letters w/black emblem then hitting it with clear.
Did everything bolt right up? I've been wanting to up grade to the newer headlights, and was just wondering how easy it was to do the grille and bumper as well?
Looks good!! Funny how something simple can make it feel like you have a completely new truck. It was that way for me with the "new" wheels.
Everything bolts right up. Our header pannel is different (smaller) then the 2005-2007, but the grill still bolts up but I just secured the bottom with a few zip ties. The headlights are deeper than ours so you have to cut the header pannel a bit to make the lights fit, or you can buy a new header pannel and everything bolts right up. The headlights also have a different plug so you have to get an adapter.
