Hi, I'm going to be getting some new valve springs for my 400 that I'm puting a new cam in. I'm doing a .509" lift and the heads (including valves, rockers, and everything else) are stock. Does anybody have any reccomendations as to what weight rating of valve springs I should use?
Thanks, AleX
Yup, good advice, and exactly what I did a little earlier tonight, worked perfect.
And the answer, for anyone else interested, is springs with (or as close as possible to):
1.5" OD
1.8" installed height
Seat pressure of 106 lb
Open pressure of 280 lb, open 1.25"
Rate of 320 lb
Thanks for the help.
Hopefully this will be my last question about this job, but seeing as I haven't even physically opened up the engine yet, I doubt that very much.
AleX
