i picked up an old gruman with propane power has a 240 or 300 not sure which that hasnt run in 10 years and the dip stick looks like a milk shake, want to convert it back to gas,my question is will a 3.9 fi engine work with original intake/exhaust manifolds ,engine mounts, flywheel, and transmission?any info appreciated as am working on tight budget thank
was wondering if my original parts off old engine such as intake and exhaust manifold will work on later model 300 fuel injected engine, i want to keep it carberated, dont want fuel injection thanks
the intake , exhaust, and carb on the grummin are special hd parts from ford, and are larger than stock 300's. they will bolt to your newer head, but remember, you have no place for a mechanical fuel pump, and you will have to change the distributer, to make it work without the computer. I would sell the hd unit, and take that money to repair the efi, wich is a much better set up. like compareing an atari to x box. both are fun, but one is way better
