Get one of these when you change out your thermostat, a must have IMO. The stock stamped steel ones rust real bad. http://www.dieselsite.com/index.asp?...ROD&ProdID=188 Here's what mine looked like before I switched to the Aluminum housing, stock on the right.

The splined colapsable column that goes to the steering wheel to the steering box? I want to change that guy out. Mine twists a little from a long time of running 35-37in tires. I would really like to know how that goes. I havent ever had the time to do it but i think it would take the last bit of play out of my steering wheel. Ive done everything else.
I second the stat and the neck. Be careful when you do to take out the old one, make sure the engine is cool. Before you do it i would advise you to spray PB blaster on it a couple times the day before and right before you go after those bolts. I can tell you from exp they will break on you quick as @#%$. And its a pain to deal with after that. Trust me.
Might throw in a coolant filter and a 203deg stat while youve got it all apart. Less messy that way.
That stuff will take the big stuff out if you have big problems. Your tires will wear better and thank you for it. These trucks have play though no matter what you do, i believe its that damn column piece, especiallly with bigger tires. Tighten your steering box a 1/4 turn at a time will help too.
Does anyone know what the part number is to the drag linkage, the one that goes below the pitman arm? O Reiley's and Napa says they don't have it...which makes to belive i'll have to order it from the dealer, and that will probably be pretty expensive. Thanks
