Battery not getting charged,
I have a 1990 f-150 and the battery will not get charged by the alternator. The alternator is bout 4 months old, i pulled it off and had it tested it was perfectly fine. The battery is about 1 month old, its a optima red top. I was driving normally and all of a sudden i saw the truck stopped charging. I let it sit for about 2 hours, got back in started it and it worked for about 10 seconds then stopped charging. Right after i had the alternator tested i put it back on the truck and it worked for maybe 5 seconds until i gave it a little gas then it stopped charging again. Im so lost i relly need help, i have never even heard of a problem like this, thanks

ok.first off you have the model alternator with 2 plugs on it? if so make sure the little white plastic dividers inside the biggest plug are not hard,cracked, or gone.if they are replace that plug, can get it at any parts store. if that is ok i would start running those wires back to where they join the harness then go over to the soleniod and check the wiring there. there are some fusable links there that can blow but they look ok untill you tug on them a little and they break in half. had it happen to me and i spent a couple 100 bucks before i found it.
