Dipstick, need help...
On the 60s 240/300, does anyone know the length of the dipstick?
I made the mistake of checking my oil and then checking something else while leaving the dipstick on the inner fender and lost it somewhere down the road...
Found one from an 80s F-150 (Possibly a 79 but early 80s) and it is the right stick, right handle and all, but it's too long, so I popped it down the tube, marked where it stopped and cut to fit (Taking off the side into the engine) now I think I made it too long
hint to that, when I insert the dipstick all the way, somehow only a portion higher up has oil, and lower is clean? that's right, weird...
