1996 351w build

I was debating on what to do with my newly aquired F250. I have access to a set of GT40 heads and the GT40 upper and lower intake off a explorer. Should i just do the heads, upper and lower and add 1.7 RR to the list with the stock roller cam with a set of headers? Has anyone done this and had any problems along the way?

the heads are fine but i would go with a aftermarket intake with bigger ports. also port the heads to match the intake

You do realize you need a 5.8 GT40 lower for that Explorer upper right?

Ahhh forgot about that. Had a brain fart there. Where would I be able to get one if i do go this route?

If i decide not to use the intakes, should I get another cam and just add the heads and headers? Is there anything else i can add to get more power?
