temp sensor wire color

temp sensor wire color
my gauge on the dash does not work. can you tell me what the
wire color is for the temp sensor and where it should be located
on the engine. i can not see any wires at all.
351M engine.

i don't have an answer for you but the best money i ever spent on my current project vehicle (1965 mercury car) was on the factory shop manual. and the cd version is only 30 bucks!

According to my Haynes Manual it's red/white.
I have the same situation...the PO added an aftermarket temp gauge that I hate. I've already yanked it and am looking for the wire coming from the harness/bundle.
I keep getting sidetracked by other stuff I find while looking for the temp wire...haha.

this is just like when i needed to fix my horn. could not find the
wire because the PO painted the engine bay and every harness
in there as well...
