Looking for tailgate handle:
Hi guys, I am in need of a tailgate handle for my 1977 Ford F250, I would like an original stock one, I have gone the aftermarket way with no success, if anyone has one for sale please let me know.

I got mine from a junkyard. It seems like there were two designs used - one with a peg that actuated the scissor mechanism, and one with a hook. I ordered a cheap replacement from eBay which was the peg style; it didn't work and one of the mounting nuts busted off. I got one from a junkyard that uses the hook to actuate the scissor mechanism and has been problem-free ever since.

I found one on Dennis Carpenter. It shows a picture and it goes for about $70. He has the original Ford tooling.
