Hello this will be my first thread so bare with me. I have a 1993 f150 4x4 5.0 I have only had it a few months it ran strong no problems... just the other day it started bog down real bad so i took to orielly's the guy told me battery so i bought it work for a min. i changed oil and plugs. Also at about 30mph if im doing 4000 rpms the tranny will cut out and i will slow down all this is new not sure where it came from if any one can help it would be greatly appreciated. Also i have mechanical 4x4 engaging switch and that also stopped working, Thank you for reading. any thing could be beneficial.
Have a look and see if you have any stored trouble codes. If you don`t have a code reader go to fordfuelinjection.com and from the list on the right click on Self Test for instructions for getting any codes without a reader.
i picked one up today and replaced the alternator and now it will only go 10 mph the codes read for: 327-EVP/EPT circuit below minimum voltage. 332-insufficient EGR flow detected. 334-EGR closed valve voltage high. 628-excessive converter clutch slippage.
Bust the centers out hmm... ive ben running with one open manifold and its sooo loud. High flows? They have to be cheap... i dont have a job right now... and im only in high school... so and i have the wants lol. something with cheap headers and good sound is what im loooking for. Thanks for the input thats what i need!
