Hello to all, first off it isn't my truck (thank GOD)! But I have a worker that while going down the road it will surge by it's self. Also lined up against mine it looks like a GT against a Pinto. I told him low boost probably, but wanted to see if Ya'll could give me advise to tell him. Thanks Ahead!!
I have read ,,, try to unplug the connector and see if it clears ,,, it may not if it is stuck open ,, however if it does clear temporarily it is the valve
I would look into the ebs. But I was thinking the new flash did away with them in the 03' and some 04'. Also look into the vgt actuator. Might want to check if there is any codes thrown before starting to replace parts. Also is it blowing smoke out? What color? All of it will give you clues of what it is.
My bet is the ICP sensor needs replacement. All the 03 motors have had the EBP inferred for years,if that truck has an 03 motor I would start with the ICP.
Un plugged EGR and will see in the morning. I told him after seeing him start it and let it idle for 1 1/2 hr just to heat it up! Told him that even though he had a new EGR valve and idle that long it is bad. But my question is this truck has always been a dog since day one. Thanks for the reply's!!
