ok let me start out buy saying i have towed 8000 pounds with my truck easily before. secondly my buddy that has a truck like mine but he swapped in a sterling 10.25 with whatever mods he wanted, basically just 4.10 gears. Then so the front matched we put a front knuckle off the front of a f250 on the front because he dont need the stronger front end he just needed it to match. That solved his drivetrain problems. he towed like that for a while. then to solve his load problems he put f-250 leave springs in the back. and to fix the front you got to find a 2wd f-250 and they will work for the front of your 4wd f-150 and i dont care what no ratings say you will have a f-250. the frame might be a little different but i dont see the mattering unless your are hauling like 25000 pounds or something crazy.
