wait! what line did you change? did you change the injector hard line? if so did you use a 7.3 line? cause the 7.3 lines are longer than the 6.9 lines and that will change your timing on that one cylinder, you can swap lines betweeen both engines, but you have to swap all of the lines not one

I'll check tomorrow. I changed the orings today. No help. Im gonna inspect all my fittings tomorrow in the fuel system tomorrow. It runs great on bottom end. Just as not much top end power as it had when i first replaced it all.

if you swap the hole 6.9 lines it will work but it changes the timing on all the cylinders, which is just fine but when you have different cylinders with different timing then thats kinda funky

Well are the 6.9 lines smaller I.D. or the same as 7.3

Head design changes -
6.9 features "centered" glow plugs, while 7.3 are "off-center"
Injection nozzles have been retracted on the 7.3 .060" to facilitate Federal and state emission certs.

6.9 #1 cylinder line did not have the pulse adapter where the 7.3 line does, so it is the biggest difference in length, longer by the size of the pulse adapter.

If you happened to get an 7.3 E series line #4 is where the pulse adapter is on them for the 7.3 engine, so that line would be shorter than the one on the F series engine.

.060" is not very much and unless the line you replaced was on #1 or #4 I don't think that is your problem.

it was number two on the driver side. It seemed a little longer then the original.

That would be cylinder #4.

There is also a possibility that someone installed an E series line without the pulse adapter on there before if you were not the original owner.

Every time I have changed injection lines, they are close, but not a drop on exact fit.
The all need a little tweaking before they fit just right.

Even if you have them perfect, change the IP timing 3/16", then unbolt the injection lines and see how wrong they fit.
