I was heading up the road to make a business transaction, turned onto a county highway and a white Ford was across the intersection and proceeded to follow me. He rode my tail for a short bit then went to pass me. I thought I'd have some fun and play around with him, sped up a little bit till he got beside me and I realized he was moving pretty hard. So I punched it.... POOFF!!!
Blew off an intercooler boot. Boy does that suck!!!
It was a 6 leaker, musta been chipped because he was running pretty good. But now I'll never now if I could have taken him.
These are new boots purchased from Clay, but BD brand. When I got them it was going to be at least 2 weeks before he got "his" boots in, and I was doing the upgrade at the time.
There was some oil sitting in the boot. I'm hoping it's not from the turbo, but I don't know what else it'd be since I did the CCV mod.
I need to live tune again, since I didn't give Tony a fair chance last time. I think he could have more fun with it with the Stage 2's and BB turbo.
