Hey guys new member here this looks to be a awsome forum. Little bit about my truck. I've got a 1967 F-100 ranger that i've had my whole life lol. I started a frame off restoration during high school then took a break in collage now started to turn the wrench again at 25. The Truck has a still new not started 460 and jet c6 tranny on a freshly powder coated frame. I need to find a radiator that will work and look good (show truck) Any ideas? Sorry for the long post and thanks for any help

I can't help you with teh radiator question but welcome to the forum. I think that I can say this for all... We like hearing about progress and seeing pics when it comes to projects. Keep us posted.
down here where ilive there used to be an old man who had an old shop that only did radiators. this man would custom fab you up a radiator from just sheets of sheet metal and a core. if you took him the core you would walk off with a 200 dollar bill and a top top notch looking and working radiator. he would even fix them when the other guys would tell you it was impossible.
point of the story is try looking around in your local yellow pages and see if mabey you have one of them "gray hairs" in your neck of the woods. sadly the one here got made a sweet offer on his land and sold it to track homes

Richard, I'm also a new member. I have a 68 project truck...it was my grandfathers. Anyway, I just bought a 68 ranger for parts. I drove the truck to my house yesterday and the radiator kept everything cool and no leaks. Let me know if you are interested.
Thanks for the suggestions i will look around for some "Gray hairs" lol Hills- thanks for the offer but i was looking for more of a new show quality radiator maybe something from Be cool or someone else. I'm still trying to figure out what size i need fro this 460 or will the orginal size work? Thanks guys
my radiator used to be for a 460 if you are interested i can give you the core dimentions in inches i will personally vouch that the radiator i have now lived on a 79 250 2wd with a 460 and automatic tranny. the desert i live and drove it *very roughly* in got up to above 120 in the summer. never had a problem over heating. even when towing with this radiator.
the stock radiator is called a super cool, it is the bigger of the 2. the super cool is taller then the other one, i think it is about 26 inch tall and the smaller ones are 19. just some info for when you call up places to get one you know what you need. good luck
I had my stock 2 row recored into 3 row about 15 yrs ago. My 428 doesn't run hot at all and I only run an electric fan(on temp switch). As long as it's moving, it doesn't need a fan. Now if you're in Dallas, it might need help.
Nice radiator from Griffin might do the job, though if you can get your stocker recored and then polish the brass.....I like that look. It was what I did with mine. It's a bit dull after all these years, but cleans up easily.
Pics? You can use Photobucket or the like and just link them here. Or, go to the "Album" section and start your own and link them.
