I didn't crawl under there myself, but the kids report wireing harness difference (about 5 wires) between the 93 truck with no reverse and the 93 donor truck trans. Also reports of ports being in different locations.
Ports? they must be refering to the fluid lines, who cares - splice them- trans fluid doesn't care how it gets to the radiator.
But the wireing problem, wrong trans, or jsut splice all the same colored wires and go.
There both 93's, there both 302, there both f150, both auto's
At the moment, I don't know which had more wires,
But I'm just the step dad, I don't know squat, my personal opinion is buy another thats already working
Neither of them have good body or interior
the no reverse could be fixed easy.usually the reverse drum bushinggets worn and allows the steal bore of the drum to make contact with the stator support causing the rings to stick in the bore.are they sure they have the right trans.1 will be a aode with a square pan the other will be a e4od with a rectangle pan with a corner cute out.or they could of bought a aod,its the none electronical brother to the aode.
I will ask them.
Reverse is fixable?? It's been slipping for over a year, its now on the fix list because it doesn't work at all anymore. But that fix would be all versions. In case you want it, Ithey can find trans model how?????
thanks
