New rims/TPMS ????

I'm helping a buddy out with this question and I see its been discussed in depth. He scored some 17in rims and is slapping some winter tires on for the winter so he can tow his snowmobiles, then go back to his 18's in the Fall. What's gona happen with his TPMS light. I'm thinking it will be on all the time, correct? Is this gona mess with his anti-skid system and will it throw a code? Is this OK to do or not advised.

ps. I want his tailgate with the step, he just doesn't know that......yet.

You're correct the light will be on. And it wont hurt anything either.

Its an 08 V10. Stock is 18 in rims and he will be putting 17 in rims on without the pressuer sensors. Thanks svt, kinda thought it wouldn't mess with the abs.
