I didn't either, but I took the advice of a good friend of mine that has really stout builds (like your truck I see..) and went to a local Lowe's Crash Series engine builder/racer guy. His prices were way better than I could get on my own....If I would have went with him from the start, I could have stroked my engine with all of the added stuff for what I actually spent "paying for my learning".
(Charlotte area has a lot of pretty good machine shops).
