I had found this last Saturday when I had visited our local pull-a-part. Of all the literally 200+ vehicles I had looked in this was the first one I had perused. I found these item in the glovebox along with 6 brand new Motorcraft 6 spark plugs for the 300 I-6.
Notice item #26. I had never seen this on our trucks before. Has anyone seen one? Where are the lights located? On the factory pushbars?
The origional owner had obviously taken care of his truck. Notice how the blanks are filled in on the owners manual.
There was a factory page correction that is a label over the origional page. I'm assuming it's correcting the wheel torque specifications.
I believe #26 is the factory fog lights. They are supposed to be very rare. I believe they are mounted under the bumper. There wasa thread with photos a few months ago.
Thanks for sharing your "find". The rest of us can vicariously enjoy the experience.
1986F150six,
No thank you for the sarcasm. Really, it's not needed.
- I found this owners manual and the other two booklets and have yet to
see any others in this good a condition.
- I have never seen a truck with the factory fog lights previously. Yes,
that is what #26 is for.
- I also found that the origional owner kept detailed maintainance details
to include mileage and dates....etc.
- I've seen owners manuals in junkyards before, but never one in this good
a condition including the users guide and warrantly information.
Furthermore, I've run across several threads and replies to threads that maybe while I thought that they were irrelevant, I kept my opinions to myself and merely clicked away and surfed elsewhere.
