surging at idle

surging at idle
Hi everyone, I need a little help. I have an 03 f-150 with a 4.6 v-8, and a K&N air filter system. the check engine light came on and within a couple of days the engine was surging at idle. sometimes it will stall at a stoplight. i checked the code and it said the MAF sensor was dirty or bad. i cleaned, then replaced the MAF sensor, but no change. I also looked for vacum leaks, and there are none to be found.
Does anyone know the answer to this problem? injectors? Fuel pump? any help would be greatly appreciated!

I have the same issue with a 98 f150 but also my ford dealership cant tell me where my maf is because what they told me it was ended up being the intake temp gauge can any one tell me a fix on the surges at stop lights... dying at stoplights and where to find my maf... please and thank you.
