replacing AO injectors with AB

I took apart the problem injectors on my 94 truck and it is bad injectors for sure. two aren't fixable.
I want to replace the AO codes with the AB's from another truck I have that is a 97 california model.
I know I have to swap over the PCM but is there anything else I have to do with it. Also what about the 97 cali fuel pump with the dampener. Does that also have to go over to my 94 to work with the split shots or no?
Anything else I should change?

Oh the 94 is a 5 speed manual trans and the 97 is the E4OD. I don't think the pcm will care that it's going to a stick shift but I was wondering if anyone has done it.

you dont even have to chance the PCMs, you can just get a chip burned to run the ABs correctly.

I'm only doing it like this because I don't have money to spend and we have to have my 94 running. It's a 4 door and we have three teenagers. Plus it's set up to carry our camper, haul hay, horse trailer and everything else we do on the farm. It's a good truck. I think we are going to part out the 97. My son wants the transmission and whole 4 wheel drive system to convert his 93 to 4 wheel. I can sure use the spare parts under the hood too. This year is just tight for us being small farmers.

Well, if you are going to go that far.
I'd email jim and see if he will buy the injectors off you to pay for a rebuild on your AO's.
Then pop in the AO's and have no problems.

Are you sure you don't just have a wiring problem with the valve cover gaskets?

I'm sure it's not wiring. I swapped the entire wiring harness, IDM, vc gaskets and UVC harness's already. It's just as bad. I took apart a couple of the injectors that are missing too and they are all scored up inside. That's the problem. I was going to rebuild the good injectors off the 94 and replace the two bad ones sometime and just keep the set for spares. When I have the money. Or trade them in for another set of AB's. I really like those split shots. That 97 of ours is a real powerhouse. Plus I'm about sick of the EEC4 computer in the 94. I've forgotten more about that system over the years than I know about the new ones. I've also sold off most of my diagnostic equipment for it. I had everything known to man when I was a Ford mechanic back in teh 90's. Now everything electronic I have if for the OBD systems.

I probably would do something different if I had money. Really, I'm broke and scavenging the 97 is my only way to keep a truck running.

My bigggest question is am I going to have problems using a pcm from an automatic 97 in a stickshift 94? Checkengine lights or anything that anyone knows of?
