I have a 2000 Expedition that I have replaced the heater core on.
I have made sure the door to change from air to heat works but all I get is defrost?
Any ideas on what else could be wrong?
Thanks for any help
There are two possible things wrong that come to mind.
1. You have no vacuum going to the controls. Defrost is the default airflow position.
2. Down by the gas pedal there is a vacuum actuator that switches airflow. Sometimes the L-shaped metal linkage rod from this actuator slips out of it's hole.
