I have posted a similar question about this issue months ago but I think that maybe the Ford Dealership installed anti-theft device under the drivers side dash may have something to do with my problem. The connection piece under the dash looks like it used to use a card that would slip into the slot to make the truck available to start. I called the dealership and the service man told me that they could activate it again but at a high cost. What happened is I locked my keys in my truck and AAA tried to open my truck but no luck. After that, my keyless remote does not open or lock my doors. I have a brand new remote and a spare with a new battery and even after going through the progamming process, it still doesn't work. Maybe that dealership anti theft device is blocking the remote access and programming? I'm lost and I'm frustrated. Any ideas or opinions would be greatly appreciated.
I disconnected the battery in the truck along with pulling the batteries out of the remotes. I ran it through the programming process and it they still don't work. The odd part is following the manual's steps, when you're done programming the doors are supposed to remain in the locked position but what happens is, the door locks cycle and then end up in the unlocked position.
