Need a Complete Re-Paint!
This in turn busted my windshild in four places, stone was still embedded in the glass, and bounced off of my truck everywhere. Luckily she was not injured, but the truck suffered considerable damage. There is over 100 chips and dings in the truck.
The hood and front bumper suffered the most damage, but every panel, door, fender and roof expecpt the tailgate was damaged. And she was not able to get the name of the trucking company or a lic. plate number. She did file a police report but unless someone comes forward with informatioin on the truck, there is nothing they can do. After dealing with Geico, they have been more than helpfull. They agreeded to repaint every panel on the truck that received damage and replace the windshield. So far it's only going to cost me $100 in deductables.

make sure to get a good shop. 2 shops local to me screwed up my Expy paint job pretty bad. There are good shops out there, I hope you get one
And she was .... she was something else man.
Anyway, this silver MB .... I could see the chrome around the grille, the light lenses up front, the paint, the forward part of the roof, and the windshield were all cut with hundreds of short jagged cuts. Everything on the front of the car was cut.
She was following along a ways behind a truck loaded with plate glass. A large [plate glass window was pulled off the truck in a wind gust, and when it hit the road it exploded in a tempered glass explosion. She couldn't swerve for traffic beside her.
The tempered glass was harder than even her MB's safety windshield and those pieces cut when they peppered her car. Car had less than 300 miles on it.
She was lucky, fellow driving truck saw it happen and stopped and she had all his company and insurance info, just looking for a police report.
Good thing she had windows closed.
Well, it is through the winter. Our city doesn't salt the roads, but they overly dump pea size gravel on everything, and then leave it there until the middle of summer.
I had my truck for 3 months before I got my first rock chip in the windshield. Currently, I have 3 rock chips in the windshield (and a couple of cracks) and numerous chips in the paint along the front.
