Are you building one or restoring one?..........1 guy I knew just rented a big storage unit over the winter to work on his boat and truck. It had power and he brought in lights, worked very well.
I guess I'm restoring. I would like to rent a storage building that I could work in just to expensive over here on the Coast.
they are a pair i got at the swap meet over here about 2 years ago have cut the flanges apart that helped the drivers side and cut the leaks down alot but not out
Well I did it...................I brought the panel into the shop today and started removing the body off the frame. Once I get it off I'll start a thread on the build complete with pictures!
got to love these old fords they are a challenage but when they are running they are alot of fun to drive and as long as i can drive it it will never be done
The last time I finished a project of my own was 20 years ago (32 Ford PU)! My buddies are always giving me a hard time because I build hotrods for other people but never get mine done....................That is coming to a stop this year. I'm turning away more work every day, and concentrating on MY projects from here on out!
The body is coming off the panel frame today! Then I'll set it on the high boy frame and make sure where I want to cut the frame to shorten it, then the body goes to my media blaster to get 7 layers of paint removed.
it would be cool to see a full blown restore.. it dons turn.....
Sorry Jack, this will not be a resto.............I'm mounting a 53 Panel on a 73 4X4 HiBoy chassis with a 427 police interceptor, NP435, divorced transfer case and 37" tires. A "darksider" if you will...................
