turbo questions
how do i tell what kind of turbo i have? and are some stock turbos better than others. also iam about to aquire another stock turbo, what should i do to it before i install it. upgrades, etc....

well chicka, all OBS turbos are the same, they were slightly upgraded to a waste gated turbo onthe 99+ souperdootys, they have an upgraded pedistal, wastegate, degraded compressor wheel,(banks wicked wheel) is an obs compressor wheel actually, and the superduty has an intercooler, which is always a plus. if you want to upgrade your turbo you can buy a smaller compressor housing going from a 1.15 to a 1.0 housing which will yeild a much faster spool time, but stay out of that throttle if you upgrade, it will raise EGTS a little faster.

performance wise, no, its just that much less restriction in the exhaust, but if your building boost and let off suddenly it makes a cool noise, a COO/ whistle noise here is c00nhunerjoes, best example i could find right now. YouTube - c00nhunterjoe's Channel
mine doesnt make quite that noise lol its more of an interesting whistle.. but its sounds awsome i think. ill have to get a video of it some time soon!
