Gear selection help!!
Ok i have 2006 F350 8" lift. I will be running 37" tires for the time being but might go up to 38" later. My question is, if i put in 4.56 gears and never end up going to a 38" tire will it be too low? Or will it be acceptable?

once I get the $$$ I am going to get 37" tires and 4.56 gears...I tow and don't have a long commute to work, if you don't tow or don't go with 38" tires 4.30 gears will probably be better for your mileage...

4.56 gears will get you back to 3.73 with your 38s, but if you plan on staying with 37s, 4.30s are the gear of choice.
